here is a reflection...
The magazine design I chose was of Peyton Manning in a Denver Broncos uniform. I picked this because of his recent trade from the Indianapolis Colts to the Denver Broncos. This is big news in the sports world, which is why it fit perfectly to photoshop it onto a Sports Illustrated cover. I have an actual Sports Illustrated logo that Mr. Johnson provided, along with some text layers that make it look even more like a real magazine, as if the reader is getting a look on the inside of the magazine. I even added a smaller picture at the bottom of the flyers and penguins hockey game, which is something Sports Illustrated frequently does.
The first thing I had to do was place the background as my first layer. I just got a picture from the internet of a cool looking football stadium. After this I placed the logo on. Then I used the pen tool to cut out the pictures of peyton and the flyers vs penguins game, to get rid of the backgrounds. I placed them in the spots I wanted and then added the corresponding texts to go right next to them. Finally, I created a title saying “Bye Bye Tebow because Peyton Manning is taking away Tebow’s spot in Denver as quarterback. I think it turned out really well and I am glad I got the opportunity to learn how to use Photoshop.
